Secondary gliosarcoma associated with shorter survival than primary gliosarcoma, new data suggest

Secondary gliosarcoma is associated with shorter overall survival (OS) than primary gliosarcoma, new data presented at AAN 2021 suggest.

Gliosarcoma is a rare variant of glioblastoma that has sarcomatous features and poor survival outcomes, according to Dr Ahmad Amer of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, USA. Gliosarcoma is classified as either primary (de novo) or secondary (arising from another glial neoplasm).
